Printers keep crashing when trying to print CS6 documents but CS5 documents print just fine. Please help, we need advice. What should we do?

I work in the graphics department at a small company.

All of our computers run Mac OS X, and consist of the following versions:

- 10.6.8,

- 10.8.5, and

- 10.9.5.

The older Macs (10.6.8 & 10.8.5) run Adobe CS5 Standard and the new computer, Mac OS X 10.9.5, has Adobe CS6.

- 10.6.8 has CS5

- 10.8.5 has CS5

- 10.9.5 has CS6

Whenever we try to print something from the new computer, it keeps crashing my printers. The new computer has CS5 installed but it was a trial version. CS5 documents printed from the new computer just fine, but CS6 documents would always crash the printers.

- 10.6.8 prints documents from CS5 just fine

- 10.8.5 prints documents from CS5 just fine

- 10.9.5 prints documents from CS5 just fine (except CS5 is a trial run that already ran out), but documents from CS6 crash the printers (both printers)

I have an HP color LaserJet 5500hdn (cmyk printer) and an HP LaserJet 4350tn (b/w printer). They're both old printers but can handle CS5 documents from any of our computers. The new computer, though, even if it's opened in Adobe Acrobat/Reader, the printers will crash.

We tested a newer Dell 2350dn for printing documents from CS6, it worked just fine but the printer ink is too expensive, about $50 more than our current CMYK printer.

We would like for all our computers to run the same Creative Suite (preferably CS6 as CC is too expensive for our needs), but we can't upgrade our older machines until we get this printer problem sorted out.

Does Adobe have a list of compatible printers or any drivers/updates that solve the crashing printer problem for CS6?
