We are printing PDFs for our customers. Sometimes they will print ok, other times fonts will be wrong. We have seen fonts change after opening the PDF in Reader or Pro, it is initially an unreadable font but after a few seconds it changes to correct English characters. It is not all text, just certain areas, it is consistently the same areas. We've had this problem with Reader XI and Pro 9.5.5. Rebooting or just logging out the Windows user (7) sometimes corrects the problem. An uninstall/reboot/reinstall of Reader fixed the problem for a day, then it came back. Uninstalled again, installed Pro 9 and updated to 9.5.5 and it worked, then went back again. Tried uninstalling antivirus, it worked, the the problem returned again. These documents have confidential info on them, so when the print wrong, we have to shred the bad print jobs, we're generating lots of shred, wasting paper, time, and money here.
I'm out of ideas, anyone out there have any more?
