I've been sent a PDF file that's supposedly print-ready; 85 mm x 55 mm, with a 3 mm bleed. When I look at the PDF, it only shows me the 85 mm x 55 mm image. No crop marks, no image beyond the trim box. See image below:
I've got no access to the source file, so I can't tell you what settings are being used. The guy that sent the PDF is uncooperative and just keeps insisting that the file is right, so I can't get any information from him.
Our prepress guys say that there's no bleed. The guy that sent the PDF insists that the bleed is there and that they use the same file to print from. Is there any way that bleed areas can be invisible?
I really would appreciate any help.
