Updated to Windows 10, Now Prints text boxes as black, and shadows around some text

I haven't had any printing issues prior to update to Windows 10.  Dell Desktop PC.  Attempted to update printer driver--it's up to date.  If there's a text box that's made from an opaque color, such as how people set up a table with light background color, it's printing as a black box instead, so none of the writing inside can be seen--complete black out.  Sometimes, it's printing a clearly legible PDF scan with shadowy smudges around all the text, and dots in places that there is plain white background (so it almost looks like ink was smeared all over the copy).  NOT a printer issue.  PRINTER IS PRINTING FINE FROM ALL OTHER PROGRAMS.
