Can we change Line per inch(LPI) for a PDF files using Adobe Acrobat?

I've tried to go to File>>Print, here selected the 'Adobe PDF' Printer and then under 'Advanced' changed 'Output' and have selected 'Custom'. At the bottom of that window I was able to see below mentioned message.

'Choose Lines Per Inch and Dots Per Inch combinations from the Printer Description file (PPD).'

Then at the bottom I changed the 'Frequency' to 180 lpi as required. However, I'm confused where to find the PPD file and how to check if the LPI is changed or not.
