I have a PDF document that was emailed to me. The problem I am having is that certain characters change when I print. The original text in the PDF is:
INVESTIGATOR'S BROCHURE (IB)
Acknowledgement of Receipt
When I print, it appears as (E changes to N; d changes to T):
INVESTIGATOR’S BROCHURN (IB)
AcknowleTgement of Receipt
I am using Windows XP, Adobe Acrobat 9, and a Savin 8035 printer; however, if I print the same document to our Savin 9060 printer, it prints fine.
I also printed the same document from a Windows 7 machine, Acrobat X Pro, and it prints fine on both printers.
As a result of this BUG, I completely wasted a lot of time and money Fedex'ing final documents that were unacceptable because of these changing fonts. Who would think to look for something like this when the screen shows you what you believe will print out. I hope Adobe is reading this, because I now have ZERO confidence in Acrobat.
