Printing problem with Acrobat DC

I used to be able to double click on a PDF attachment in Outlook email and it would open up.  Then I would just click on the printer icon in DC and off it went to the printer.  Now, sometimes the PDF does not open and DC says (not responding).  Or I have 2 PDF's attached to the same email, 1st one opens and either prints fine (the other does not open) or it opens and I can't get it to print.

This time I saved the PDF to my desktop then tried to print and it will not print.  I saved it on the server and another worker could print it.  Suggestions how to figure this out?

new printer not showing on printer dropdown selection list

Hi.

I had a canon MP600 printer that I removed and replaced with Canon MG5350. It prints fine for word/excel but for adobe pdf the new printer does not appear in the select printer list, but the old one still does. I can't print any pdf file and don't have the old printer.

How can I get the new printer to appear in the list?

Please do help.

Thank you

Quick-Printing Fails from Microsoft Outlook

Adobe Acrobat XI Pro continues to give errors (recently in the past week) when trying to print and printing is unsuccessful from quick print in Outlook.

Error pops up and regardless of the menu selection it does not print.

"This operation is not permitted as this document is not trusted. Do you want to trust this document?

C:\Users\userName\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.Outlook\JQF326eY\filename.pdf

HELP YES NO

"

Temporary file is generated in the above referenced location and printing does not occur. Error comes from Adobe Acrobat popup window.

Previously, printing was able to be done quickly to the default printer. Now, regardless of resetting the settings, selecting "Yes", or doing any other configuration changes in Adobe, it does not work.

Repairing Adobe Acrobat brings the following error:

Program is not compatible.

Slow printing from pdf document

I have one person in my office who is experiencing issues whenever he prints .pdf documents to a network printer (doesn't matter which one), say he prints a 10-15 page document, when it goes through the queue, it prints one page at a time and it takes several minutes to print the entire document. But if he prints a word document that is the same size it prints all pages right away.

How can I fix this?

HUGE BUG printing Booklet from Acrobat Pro 11.0.10

I spent an hour chatting with Adobe support in India. They could not solve this issue.

I submitted a BUG REPORT at Adobe - Feature Request/Bug Report Form

Here is the BUG Report:

******BUG******

Concise problem statement:

Steps to reproduce bug:

1. Export individual pages from InDesign as pdf (16-page booklet, each individual page is 5-1/2" x 8-1/2")

2. Open pdf in Acrobat Pro 11.0.10

3. Choose actual size, then choose booklet, and print. (printer contains letter-size paper, and page set-up is set to 100% scale.)

Results: The printed booklet is the WRONG SIZE! The pagination is correct as usual, but each individual page is being REDUCED, and now each page image is too small, and there is now a GAP between pages, and the entire booklet is useless. If you can, please see case number: 0186447426: support chat: it covers everything we have tried so far ... (We tried everything they could think of, but all attempts failed.) This bug was introduced somewhere along the line with Yosemite.

Expected results: As usual, when printing booklets from Acrobat Pro, we expect the print to be the right size, the same size as the InDesign doc, and as it has been printed previously by Acrobat Pro prior to Yosemite. Thanks for fixing this disaster of a bug. Please contact me if you need further info, copies of the individual page pdf, etc.

I am literally stuck. I can go through the laborious process of using InDesign to "print booklet" to a postscript file and use Distiller to make the booklet pdf, but under Yosemite, I am prevented from installing print drivers unless that printer is locally available on my network. Unfortunately, the printer is located at my client's place of business.

I realize there is typically a leap-frog effect between operating system updates, hardware, and application updates, but combined with other Yosemite issues, this Acrobat Pro bug is killing my business.

Two-sided printing not supported in Adobe

I have a Mac Book Pro and am running Mac OS Sierra version 10.12.1. After downloading Adobe Acrobat 11 and Adobe Acrobat DC, I cannot print two-sided. Before, I was able to. However, I can print two-sided with any other programme from the same printer, including of the same documents. What should I do to get two-sided printing working again with Adobe?

Thank you in advance for your help and attention.

I have a PDF that is at 8x11.  I want to enlarge and print across multiple pages (4 pages by 4 pages) but the Poster button is greyed out and won't let me select it.  I've even tried enlarging the page size but that doesn't fix the issue.

I use Adobe DC as advised by Adobe team - anyway there is no PDF printer on my computer since the instillation on my lapton; my PC has no issues - i can print to pdf from most software on the PC. The Laptop does no longer allow this. Tried install a printer, but cannot find the file within any Adobe folder to complete the install. tried uninstalling and re-installing but still same problem, both computers running the same version & updates. The troubleshoot help is very unhelpful in telling me to click print then print to pdf. Help?

How to print a booklet at 100%

How can I print a booklet at 100%? When I print a booklet from Acrobat, it shrinks it slightly, about 5% or so (which I guessing is scale to fit). But I need the booklet printed at exactly 100%. Is this possible?

I have every version of Acrobat from version 9 all the way up to DC, so I can use whichever one that will get the job done. I am on a mac.

Printing error: Pages not Selected

I cannot print pdf documents and I'm getting an error message from Acrobat Reader that says  "The document could not be printed."  I click OK on that, and then another error message appears from Acrobat Reader:  "There were no pages selected to print."

I've tried selecting a range of pages instead of just "All" pages, and it still doesn't work.  I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.  I tried repairing Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.  I tried restarting my computer, and it still doesn't work.

This is only happening with PDF documents in Adobe Reader.  I can print everything else from my other applications just fine, so I don't think it's a problem with the printer driver, but with the software.

Optimize The PDF For Fast Web View

Am wondering: is there any difference in quality when "Optimize The PDF For Fast Web View" is  UNtagged?

I know the files may be bigger when this option is untagged, but that aside.

If, in day to day use, there is hardly/or no visible quality difference what is the use of this option?

Thanks

Is Distiller dead?

Just got a call from a commercial printing customer who is upgrading to Creative Cloud and she was told there is no Distiller in CC.

Is that correct? I can't seem to find it addressed anywhere, but it doesn't seem reasonable to set up a dozen (or more) copies of InDesign with the correct PDF export settings, when you can set up one watched Distiller folder. Really not efficient.

I have Acrobat DC (The Full version)  I am looking for a way to go to a network share and select multiple PDF files and print them all at the same time.  The issue I am having is it opens a new instance of Acrobat for each PDF it prints locking my machine up from use until the printing is done.  Is there a way around this with Acrobat DC?

Adobe PDF driver

After the Creative Cloud updated to Acrobat DC, I am no longer able to print to Adobe PDF.  It says the printer driver is not installed on the computer.  When I go to install the driver it says I only have versions 8.5.0.0 and 8.6.0.0.  I know these are not current.  So what is the current driver and where do I find it?  I am running windows 7 on a 64bit machine.  I use the adobe pdf driver to print postscript to a device that requires it.  My primary business is offset printing.  Any help on resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Adobe Reader DC Printing error

Hi, I have Adobe Reader DC installed on Windows Server 2016 Terminal Server. We get some random printing problems for som users, not always the same user. 1 day it works another day it doesnt work. The server restarts every night.

The error we get when printing a PDF is the following.

Dialog 1: "The document could not be printed."

Dialog 2: "There were no pages selected to print."

All printers are installed on a Print server and mapped to the users sessions with GPO.

Printing from other applications like Word, Excel, Web, Print test page is working.

When a users gets this error they get it for all printers they have available, other users can print PDF:s to the same printers.

We did a test and removed the GPO mapped printers for a users and manually installed a printer from the Print server, then the PDF printed fine. But doing this for 200+ users isnt going to work.

We get the same error with Adobe Reader DC 2015 (first release) and the newest Adobe Reader DC 2017. We also got the same problem with Adobe Reader XI.

APPDATA folder has been cleared not working.

"Print as Image" not working.

Disabled Protected Mode at startup not working.

Disabled Protected View not working.

Disabled Enhanced Security not working.

Would love to get this problem solved.

Regards Fredrik
